What this is

A CQC-registered clinical service. Not a referral marketplace, not a software subscription.

Surgical Recovery is a clinical team — led by Dr Hanieh Asadi — that takes over your patients' pre-op and post-op care. We run the virtual pre-op consultation, nutrition and conditioning planning, the Day 1 to Day 90 check-ins, the outcome measures, and the post-op review. You remain the operating surgeon. Your patient gets a structured, supported journey through their surgery. You get hours of your week back, materially fewer cancellations, and outcomes data ready for revalidation and insurer conversations.

What changes

For you, and for your patient.

What you get

  • 5–10 hours a week recovered by your clinical team
  • Lower day-of-surgery cancellations (0.8% vs 4.2% national benchmark)
  • Outcomes data ready for revalidation and insurer panels
  • Zero change to your operations — your secretary, your diary, your PMS
  • Premium positioning over the surgeon down the corridor

What your patient gets

  • Pre-op optimisation — physically, nutritionally and emotionally
  • A safer recovery — proactive pain management, wound care advice, and rehabilitation guidance
  • Lower complications and readmissions — outcomes benchmarked against PHIN and shared in the 90-day report
  • A better experience — a named clinical contact, emotional support, and easy access from Day 1 to Day 90
Your onboarding

From first call to first outcomes report, in four weeks.

No contract to sign, no system to install. Three milestones, one phone call between them.

  1. Day 0

    One phone call

30 minutes with Dr Asadi. We agree which procedures suit the pathway and which one patient to start with. Nothing changes about your clinic.

  2. Week 1

    Your first patient

You hand them a one-page leaflet at their next consultation. They contact us. You hear nothing further unless something is clinically significant.

  3. Week 4+

    Your first outcomes report

After your first patient's 90-day review, you receive a one-page PDF: PROMs, NPS, complication flags, length-of-stay. Decide whether to refer the next one.

What you'll receive

The 90-day outcomes report.

One page per patient. Ready for revalidation, ready to show insurers, ready for the next MDT.

Pricing

Your cost: £0.

No contract. No setup fee. Your patient pays Surgical Recovery directly — £395 for Foundation, £850 for Optimised Recovery. Most patients choose Optimised.

Or: invoice the patient yourself and keep the margin

Some consultants prefer to embed the pathway in their own case fee. In that arrangement you invoice the patient as part of your bundled price, and SR invoices you wholesale at ~£230/patient. You keep the margin.

We'll set this up on the discovery call if it's the right fit for your practice.

What the patient actually receives
Tier 1

Foundation · £395

  • Pre-op virtual consultation with our clinical team
  • Preparation guidance and red-flag advice for home recovery
  • Post-op consultation and review
  • Single point of contact for clinical questions
  • Day 1 / 3 / 7 / 30 / 90 structured check-ins
In practice

What it looks like from your side.

  1. 01

    You mention SR in clinic

Hand the patient a one-page leaflet. Your secretary doesn't do anything different. The patient contacts SR and pays us direct.

  2. 02

    Our clinical team runs pre-op

Virtual consultation. Bloods, history, lifestyle, expectations. If Tier 2, dietitian and physio kick in. The patient walks into surgery prepared.

  3. 03

    You operate. We monitor.

Day 1, 3, 7, 30 and 90 structured check-ins. Anything clinically significant comes straight to you. Everything else — anxiety, wound questions, medication queries — we handle.

  4. 04

You get a 90-day outcomes summary

PROMs, NPS, complication rate, length-of-stay. Benchmarked. Ready for revalidation. Ready to show insurers.

  5. 05

If it works, refer the next one

If it doesn't, stop. There is no contract, no minimum, no exit clause.

Three questions we get asked every time

The objections, answered.

No. You make every surgical decision. We handle the wraparound pathway. Anything clinical comes to you immediately.

Nothing changes. We don't touch bookings, diary or invoicing. We work alongside your existing setup, not in place of it.

SR is separately CQC-registered with its own £2M / £5M professional indemnity (Markel International). Our clinical work is our responsibility, not yours.
